We are seeking a passionate and experienced Geospatial Data Analyst to support our product suite of US property insurance underwriting and pricing.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geospatial data handling and processing, proficiency in working with large volumes of data, and a deep understanding of various types of geospatial data.
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing geospatial data, including weather-related data
- Managing and integrating diverse datasets from varied sources
- Designing and implementing data processing workflows to ensure efficient data handling
- Automating data processing workflows using tools and scripting languages
Responsibilities also include utilizing open-source software for geospatial analysis, working with cloud technologies for data storage, processing, and analytics, and developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and workflows.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support data needs and analytic projects, ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in a GIS data analysis role
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
- Experience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL and PostGIS
- Ability to handle and process large volumes of data efficiently
