Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Weighbridge Operative to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all weighbridge operational functions, including site access control, waste acceptance and dispatch activity, and documentation in accordance with company procedures, EPA license requirements, and legislative regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage entry to the site by lorries, vehicles, contractors, and the general public, ensuring compliance with site license requirements.
- Record all entries and direct them to the correct locations or personnel as required.
- Evaluate waste and deliveries entering the site, ensuring they are accompanied by appropriate documents and approved for entry.
- Monitor and record all waste movement on and offsite, administering related paperwork, including weighbridge dockets and electronic files.
- Provide administrative support for waste movements offsite, generating dockets and invoices as necessary.
- Inspect incoming waste movements and accompanying documentation to ensure compliance with site license requirements.
- Collaborate with other staff and operations personnel to address any compliance, traffic, delivery, or waste movement issues.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
