Part-Time Maintenance Team Member Wanted

Job Title: Maintenance Person

This is a part-time role where you will be responsible for completing weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment, call systems, lights, and general maintenance procedures.

  • Schedule checks of stores and store areas
  • Scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment checks e.g. generator testing, fire exits, alarms, emergency doors, etc
  • Perform minor repair of all buildings and equipment

You will assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paint building structures, touch up paint in areas where paint has become scuffed or blistered.

  • Repair doors, door locks, tables, chairs, and closets
  • Assist in portering in both Nursing Homes
  • Assist in moving equipment around, filling skips when needed

You will liaise with water, electrical, outside contractors who service the facility and assist other maintenance personnel.

The successful candidate will keep the underfloor heating system in full working order with the assistance of a qualified plumber and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

No educational qualifications are required but having practical maintenance courses would be an advantage.

You should have good knowledge of health and safety regulations and previous experience in facilities maintenance would be beneficial.

Aptitudes:

We require someone who can act as a good role model and has good communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate should be able to motivate themselves and work on their own initiative.
