Hatchery Operations Leader: As a Supervisor at Donaghmore Hatchery, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, including the egg store, despatch, transfer, and general hatchery areas
  • Monitor and maintain machinery, hygiene, and safety standards across different areas
  • Liaise with management, suppliers, farmers, and fellow supervisors to meet customer needs
  • Record and report critical data to maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills: Literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, teamworking, leadership, and the ability to organize and prioritize
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A knack for understanding and troubleshooting machinery
  • Communication Skills: Proficiency in English and the ability to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders
  • Experience: Prior supervisory/people management experience is desirable
  • Health & Safety Awareness: An understanding of workplace safety regulations and hygiene protocols
