Job Opportunity

We are seeking PhD students to work on knowledge processing and decision-making in sensor networks. This project involves developing principled Bayesian solutions for data science.

Research Focus

The projects will advance agendas in sensor networks, focusing on optimal cooperation between sensors and agents as they share data and knowledge. The goal is to support autonomous decision-making in complex systems.

Key Challenges

Distributed knowledge from sensor networks needs to be processed into decisions with performance guarantees. We will develop statistical signal processing and machine learning methods to address this challenge.

Requirements

Applicants should have an excellent academic track record in a discipline with foundations in probability, statistics, systems, and/or computation. They should demonstrate English communication skills, research aptitude, and a collaborative spirit, and be committed to full-time PhD research for three years.

Supervision and Funding

The PhD students will be supervised by Professor Quinn and register for the PhD degree in Charles University or Czech Technical University. They will receive funding of CZK 10,000-20,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications), for three years.
