
Senior Software Developer, Expert Automation Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled software developer to join our team as an automation specialist.
The ideal candidate will have advanced Linux administration skills, including experience with containers.
A strong background in Python development and troubleshooting is essential for this position.
The successful candidate will be able to write and read Shell scripts, including bash.
Building and maintaining delivery pipelines and workflows using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable technologies is also required.
We are looking for someone who can quickly learn and use new tools and technologies.
The candidate must have a good understanding of DevOps methodology and be able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
In this role, you will collaborate with other teams to understand customer needs and use cases.
You will apply your technology background in software engineering and systems engineering to make contributions to a Python-based midstream automation platform.
This includes areas such as CI/CD, observability, and continuous testing.
The successful candidate will execute manual and automated tests for Red Hat AI midstream project/components and deliver clear status updates in a timely manner.
We are seeking someone who can explore, identify, and document unwanted behavior, output, and bias in Red Hat AI models.
The ideal candidate will be able to monitor and participate in upstream AI/ML communities.
Evaluating new AI/ML-related technologies and considering potential integrations and collaborations upstream is also required.
In this role, you will conduct new feature research and design test cases with emphasis on model performance, scalability, automation, and bias reduction.
The successful candidate will lead or contribute to technical initiatives that grow, improve, and scale our existing processes.
You will contribute to the development of open-source projects that comprise Red Hat's AI family of products.
This includes collaborating with other teams to ensure that new features, bug fixes, and updates are delivered efficiently and reliably to end-users.
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and can work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and Red Hat leadership.
This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
The successful candidate will be able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Key Responsibilities:
