Experienced Auto Electrician Required for Workshop Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced auto electrician to join our workshop team in Galway. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical components on lifting and packing mechanisms on our fleet.
  • Carry out installations of electrical components and wiring for lifting and packing mechanisms on lorries according to established plans.
  • Conduct routine inspections and test electronic components and wiring to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions using analytical skills and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health & safety procedures at all times.
  • Complete job reports using tablets to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Develop knowledge of hydraulics to enhance skills and capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions within automotive systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
  • Complex problem-solving ability with a logical approach.
  • Knowledge of wiring fundamentals and electronic diagnostic equipment operation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems is an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge of the waste industry is also an advantage but not essential.
