We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Systems Designer to join our team at our office located in Cork, Ireland.

Your Role:

  • Provide technical leadership for the Automation component of IPS projects and collaborate with client counterparts to develop the Automation System Architecture at an early phase of a project.
  • Collaborate with the Process Design Group and project teams to support the execution of successful project studies and work with Process Engineers to develop functional requirement specifications for automation systems.
  • Develop User Requirement Specifications for Automation Scope of Work.
  • Work with end users and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to coordinate the application of automation products.
  • Work with third-party system integrators to support projects.
  • Perform other related job functions as assigned, e.g., instrumentation and controls specifications and design and support project teams in the delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives.
  • Develop the design of Process Control and Automation systems in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Support risk assessments, including SIL, LOPA, and HAZOP.
  • Travel to other IPS office locations and client sites to support projects and business objectives.
  • Assist Management in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales and marketing documents.
