Job Title: Payroll Account Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Specialist to join our team in Cavan. The successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.


Main Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the team to meet strict payroll deadlines and take full responsibility for the entire payroll function.

  • Collate timesheets for processing and cross-check information received.
  • Process Payroll, submit Revenue Returns & discharge payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all payroll functions.
  • Enter Payroll Journals into accounts systems.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding payroll matters.
  • Interpret company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
  • Manage accounts payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly supplier payments.
  • Ensure timely completion of accounting tasks and accuracy of reports.
  • Prepare client invoices, review aged debt reports, and chase overdue accounts.
  • Cope with debtor and creditor queries (internal and external).

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be familiar with handling pension contribution and discharge information for Ireland and UK pension authorities.

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in UK payroll is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Prior experience in using Sage Payroll is advantageous.
  • An enthusiastic and teamwork-focused individual who can work independently.
  • A well-structured and organized person.
