Job Description

We are seeking a skilled School Nurse to provide health services to students within our school system. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the health and well-being of our students.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid current license to practice nursing in the State of Alabama, have graduated from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and hold current CPR certification.

  • Provide direct student/patient care, including first aid, administering medication, and performing invasive procedures as needed.
  • Conduct health appraisals of students and make necessary referrals for vision, hearing, dental, physical disability, and scoliosis assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic patient history records and health records for students.
  • Develop and review healthcare plans and emergency care plans for students annually.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Possess a valid current license to practice nursing in the State of Alabama.
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Earned an associate degree and possess current CPR certification.
