The Mechanical Design Engineer role is responsible for ensuring mechanical technical compliance on all Business Unit projects. This includes developing Design Delivery Schedules/Programmes with clients and project teams, coaching junior engineers, and attending design-related meetings.

In addition, the successful candidate will:

  • Liaise with consultants and third parties as required
  • Manage registers throughout the project design period
  • Review completed designs for accuracy
  • Negotiate scope-of-work and price with consulting firms

This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will also have experience working with BIM360 on large-scale projects and a third-level qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering.

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and is able to prioritise tasks accordingly.
