Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned cloud infrastructure specialist to lead our team's cloud architecture and engineering efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable applications and platform services across multiple cloud providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive reliability engineering initiatives, including infrastructure automation, service monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
  2. Collaborate with application and platform teams to define and enforce architectural best practices, CI/CD standards, and cloud-native patterns.
  3. Diagnose complex production issues through in-depth troubleshooting and implement resilient solutions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Contribute to the development of internal tools that improve observability, system health, and operational transparency.
  5. Stay current with new technologies and proactively recommend improvements to existing cloud architectures and processes.
  6. Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in a cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE role.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native application design and operations on platforms like SAP BTP, AWS, or GCP.
  • Proficient in infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Strong experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with open platforms such as Kyma or Cloud Foundry is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of security principles, including authentication, authorization, and secrets management in cloud environments.
  • Skilful in monitoring and observability using tools like Kibana, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced production environments and drive multi-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Engineer, SAP BTP Certification, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer) are a plus.
