Job Description

Seeking an experienced General Ledger Specialist to deliver long-term value to clients and society. As part of our NextWave strategy, you will contribute to delivering impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA General Ledger with a focus on banking clients.
  • Process and record all financial and GL transactions in chart of accounts, inter and intra company accounts, banks and cash clearing accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, pre-close reporting, ME QE YE close processes, and other ad-hoc reporting in compliance with IFRS9 and EU UK US GAAP and financial policies.
  • Apply knowledge of Core SAP Financials in configuration, including General Ledger, GL Asset Accounting, AA Closing, and Statutory Reporting Accounts Payable, AP Accounts Receivable, AR, including Tax Payments and Banking.
  • Integrate key points of SAP FICO with COPA SD MM PS modules.
  • Implement configuration of document splitting for full balance sheet reporting by lines of business within a company code.
  • Provide expertise on accounting principles and practices to accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and other fiscal functions within client engagements.
  • Define and execute an agile delivery approach to requirements gathering and analysis for changes in general ledger and related processes.
  • Lead design workshops to understand banking clients' needs and propose best practice solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A third-level qualification in business, technology, engineering, accounting, or a related discipline is essential.

SAP S/4HANA Finance certification or accounting certification (CPA ACCA ACA CIMA) with experience in SAP is highly desirable.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in a banking client-facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company delivering large-scale change or transformation programs in SAP Finance implementations.

A solid understanding of core financial processes and best practice SAP Finance solutions for global banking or insurance clients.

Proven experience implementing SAP finance processes such as new general ledger, GL processing, accruals, etc.
