Job Overview

The SESAR Manager role is a senior position responsible for driving strategy, governance, pace, testing and functional delivery for projects under the SESAR umbrella.

This includes the Common Project 1 programme, which aims to modernise the European Air Traffic Management network.

The ideal candidate will be a credible and experienced manager, setting direction, pace and example in support of operational excellence.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively to drive operations priorities, while ensuring compliance with CP1 legislation.

This role requires strong external and internal stakeholder management, as well as effective communication and regular reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the strategic direction for the SESAR programme.
  • Lead the delivery of the SESAR programme, ensuring pace, control, and resource alignment across complex projects.
  • Scope and deliver non-mandatory projects that leverage EU funding to drive airport efficiency, predictability, and safety.
  • Oversee mandatory validations with Eurocontrol as a key stakeholder.
  • Ensure compliance with CP1 and future SESAR-related legislation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate complex updates into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Represent at SESAR/Eurocontrol forums.
  • Maintain robust programme governance and control.
