We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fresh Produce Agronomist to join our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To develop and implement strategies to position the company as a market leader in the retail sector from a quality and consistency viewpoint.
  • To work closely with suppliers to identify and rectify quality issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • To maintain constant tracking and analysis of quality information within the supply chain, identifying reasons for non-performance and agreeing action plans for improvements.
  • To communicate effectively with external bodies on food production compliance standards.
  • To work with the procurement team and suppliers to maintain effective control of costs associated with sourcing, pricing, and product specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a fresh produce role, preferably with production growing experience. A degree or qualification in Commercial Horticulture or a similar field is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, are required.
