Job Title: Electrical Engineering Specialist

This role involves working on various industrial projects, requiring a highly skilled electrical engineer to design and develop electrical services packages in AutoCAD & Revit. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and work under the direction of a senior electrical engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems, including MV & LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power, voice / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas, and specialist control systems.
  • Develop specifications, scope of works documents, tender packs, cable calcs, wiring diagrams, schematics, loop sheets, and other electrical deliverables.
  • Undertake peer reviews as part of our quality control process.
  • Attend and participate in client and project meetings.
  • Participate in project site visits to survey, monitor, review, and sign-off upon electrical installations when required.
Requirements:
  • Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design. Data centre experience is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.
  • Familiarity with SKM (PTW) electrical design software.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering design services.
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable electrical engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience of developing electrical protection systems, electrical discrimination, short circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis reports.
  • The ability to find alternate solutions, including value-engineering, and to implement new technologies where required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, and environmental protection.
