Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to join our client's growing team based in Athlone. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations across the Restaurant, Bar, Events, and other areas of operations to ensure smooth functionality and exceptional guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance guest experience.
  • Work closely with the Group General Manager and Heads of Departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in wine and beverage knowledge, including cocktails, and promote suggestive selling techniques.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient resolution of guest complaints.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate department managers and staff to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and services to uphold quality standards.
  • Identify market trends in dining and beverage service for both property guests and the local market.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management would be preferred but is not essential.
  • Minimum 3 – 4 years restaurant experience within a similar position of a similar size hotel.
  • Strong food and beverage, coffee, wine, and cocktail knowledge.
  • Proven exemplary guest service and sales skills.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol/General Manager's Certificate.
