Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to develop and implement effective control systems that preserve and support the business and supply chain activity. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying potential development opportunities to ensure internal guidelines and procedures, as well as designing robust control strategies and quality relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Leadership, development, and mentoring of the end-to-end Demand and Supply Planning team
2. Proactive ownership of optimized inventory planning and implementation of safety stocks to support the business across all categories, channels, markets, and business streams
3. Hands-on approach to implementing industry-standard best practices across the supply chain planning function, through ongoing improvement of inventory planning positioning for the business and removal of manual processes
4. Implementation of MRP for finished goods and supporting extended operations teams in implementing MRP at factories
5. Driving scheduling of Finished Goods production at the supply base, aligned with forecasting requirements and capacity planning at factories, to ensure optimised availability at global distribution warehouses
6. Identifying targets and KPIs for supply chain planning and working towards their development
7. Supporting procurement function in developing and monitoring supplier management protocols and control structures across the business
8. Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize end-to-end supply chain

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

1. Strong industry background in both supply and demand planning is essential
2. Hands-on people management and development experience is necessary
3. A degree in supply chain, business, or planning discipline is required
4. Proficiency in supply and demand planning best practices
5. Continuous improvement mindset with ability to communicate complex data into actionable tactical insights connected with strategic goals
6. Pro-active approach to new technologies, systems, and processes to drive function forward
7. Knowledge of manufacturing is an advantage
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional and senior management, as required
9. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
