Seeking a dedicated individual to support the development of a community-based homework club, serving primary and secondary school children from a Direct Provision Hostel.

The Role

This is a 40-week fixed-term contract (14 hours per week) where you will work closely with the Homework Club Coordinator to create a suitable homework club environment. The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Developing a community-based homework club that meets the needs of students and their families.
  • Involving parents of children attending the homework club to foster a collaborative approach.
  • Working with the Homework Club Coordinator to deliver the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or related qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar working environment.
  • Proven ability to work with and support disadvantaged children.
  • Experience in community development and teaching or educational instruction.
