**Forensic Accounting Role Overview**

The role involves working on complex financial investigations, providing expert accounting evidence in commercial litigation, and identifying anomalies or suspicious activity through financial data analysis.

**Responsibilities Include:**

  • Assisting in conducting thorough investigations into financial irregularities, fraud, and misconduct.
  • Analyzing financial data, accounting records, and transactions to identify suspicious activity.
  • Preparing reports to be submitted as expert accounting evidence in the context of commercial litigation.
  • Participating in investigations into alleged instances of fraud and other wrongdoing.
  • Performing forensic research to trace funds and identify assets for recovery.
  • Assisting in the financial aspects of engagements with clients by tracking costs and communicating issues.
  • Building strong internal relationships within the advisory department and across services.

**Key Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Able to obtain an understanding of financial and business processes.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and formulas) and Microsoft Word.
  • Able to work flexibly on multiple engagements and manage competing deadlines.
