Project Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced project manager to support the development of organisational, national, and European capacity in research data sharing and re-use across various research domains and sectors.

The primary aim of this role is to build our capacity for best practice Research Data Management (RDM) in line with international guidelines on open science and data management, particularly in relation to developments in Ireland's National Open Research Forum (NORF) and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers and research communities to facilitate the development of FAIR practices, particularly in relation to arts, humanities, and social science communities in Ireland. They will also contribute to developing the capacity for a range of research communities to participate in the EOSC by leveraging and building upon the structures and work of the Research Data Alliance (RDA).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance Research Data Management practices in line with national and international standards.
  2. Collaborate with research communities to foster FAIR practices and develop capacities for research data sharing and reuse.
  3. Work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance research data management capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in a research or academic setting.
- Strong understanding of Research Data Management principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
