Lead Infrastructure Professional: Seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to work on infrastructure projects in Ireland. This role involves acting as a senior civil engineer on ongoing projects, coordinating and supervising in-house teams for preparation of planning applications, tenders, construction packages, and reports.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with 8 years+ postgrad experience preferably in a consultancy role with the potential to progress to associate director. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a senior civil engineer on ongoing projects
  • Coordination and supervision of in-house teams for the preparation of planning applications, tenders, construction packages, and reports
  • Attending meetings with key stakeholders including clients and design teams
  • A strong ethical approach to quality, safety, and environmental protection
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong people skills with the ability to manage and encourage other design personnel
  • Identify new business opportunities for the company

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Be a Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIEI / MICE or recognised equivalent)
  • 8 years+ experience in a consultant engineers practice on a range of civil and structural projects
  • Experience dealing with Irish Water applications
  • A track record in master-planning and delivery of roads and services infrastructure projects
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office
  • Committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • A full driving licence
