
Feed Quality Specialist

The role of a Quality Assurance & Retail Associate is multifaceted, ensuring that high-quality feed products are delivered to customers while supporting daily retail operations and maintaining product standards for safety, consistency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Quality Control Specialist - Maintain quality and feed safety systems, including HACCP, to prevent contamination and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Feed Safety Inspector - Inspect incoming and outgoing animal feed products for damage, labeling errors, or expiration issues.
- Quality Records Manager - Sample feed for testing and maintain quality records in accordance with industry regulations across multiple mills.
- Regulatory Liaison - Act as point of contact for regulatory bodies, including inspections and communication of quality concerns to management and sales representatives.
- Traceability Specialist - Support traceability efforts by logging batch numbers, lot codes, and supplier information.
- Customer Service Representative - Respond to customer inquiries regarding quality concerns and provide guidance on product usage.
- Branch Network Coordinator - Monitor quality/feed safety across branch network and report relevant information to management.
- Customer Service Ambassador - Greet and assist customers with product selection, nutritional information, and usage guidance for livestock.
- Sales Transaction Coordinator - Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Inventory Management Specialist - Ensure shelves are properly stocked, labelled, and rotated.
- Order Fulfillment Specialist - Handle phone and online orders.
- Facilities Maintenance Assistant - Keep retail and storage areas clean, safe, and organized.
Requirements:
- Quality/Agricultural or Animal Science background desirable.
- Previous experience in retail or quality assurance preferred.
- Basic understanding of animal feed types and handling/storage best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with quality standards in feed manufacturing or retail is a plus (e.g., HACCP, UFAS).
