About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the master production schedule into a feasible and accurate short-term detail schedule, ensuring on-time availability of product while considering known constraints and planning parameters.

  • Provide key production planning information to support integrated business planning processes within the 0-13 week time horizon.
  • Work closely with the area's finite scheduler and product planner to provide timely and accurate information, ensuring the generation of feasible production schedules.
  • Responsible for local weekly and monthly planning processes.
  • Report out key KPIs for planning performance.
  • Facilitate weekly scheduling and capacity review meetings with production, QA, warehouse, and process development departments.
Key Responsibilities:

The Production Planner will be responsible for the short-term executional planning process in their assigned area, supporting the site's execution in Amgen's S&OP process. This includes:

  • Short-term production planning, line scheduling, and shipment planning.
  • Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements, implementing changes using operational excellence and project management skills.
  • Reporting ADL short-term planning performance metrics for their assigned area.
  • Presenting information, analyses, and providing recommendations to management as required.
  • Articulating and highlighting key master production schedules changes to the MPS lead.
  • Providing planning SME knowledge to support NC/CAPA investigations.
  • Managing and monitoring SAP/RR transactions to support production plan, capacity analysis, planning cycle, and procurement activities.
  • Converting planned process orders to process orders and ensuring a feasible plan.
  • Coordinating with the warehouse department to ensure availability of all components for the production line and the shipment of materials to ensure market supply.
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience.
  • Approximately 2-5 years' planning experience in an industrial environment.
  • SAP ECC Planning Experience is essential.
  • GMP Knowledge.
  • Familiarity with S&OP process and production planning concepts (Materials requirement planning, production scheduling).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Master's Degree or APICS certification.
  • Min 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.
  • Understanding of Class A principles desirable.
  • Planning system experience (Rapid Response RR/SAP).
  • Experience in Pharma production (Fill-finish).
Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Adaptability and effective communication style.
  • Able to communicate findings clearly and concisely, making recommendations.
  • Maintain composure and direction in high-pressure situations.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work under minimal direction and independently develop solutions.
