Job Description

The Travel Health Nurse role at our Dublin clinic presents a unique opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide comprehensive travel health and occupational health services. This position involves delivering risk assessments, travel health advice, vaccinations, and malaria prophylaxis, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will utilize client software to maintain accurate records and stay updated with current information, ensuring high-quality care in a safe and professional clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide travel health and occupational health services in accordance with SOPs.
  • Deliver tailored risk assessments, advice, and vaccinations to individual patients.
  • Prescribe malaria prophylaxis and other relevant travel or occupational health medicines.
  • Maintain up-to-date information and record-keeping utilizing client software.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication within the team.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment for both staff and patients.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • IV Cannulation and phlebotomy experience and competencies.
  • Ability to make independent and supported decisions.
  • Knowledge and commitment to evidence-based best practices.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in Infectious Diseases.
  • Full, valid driving license.
