We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee direct material procurement and inventory management across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with production schedules, ensuring accurate and timely orders.
- Maintain visibility into demand signals, adjusting procurement activity as needed to avoid shortages.
- Utilize historical trends and current forecasts to inform proactive adjustments to supply plans, driving business value through data-driven decisions.
- Leverage data insights to enhance material availability and procurement strategies, streamlining the procure-to-pay cycle.
- Troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize disruptions, ensuring seamless operations.
- Optimize raw material inventory levels, supporting production while minimizing excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
- Collaborate across sites to ensure consistency and efficiency in material flow, supporting programs like Consignment, JIT, and VMI.
- Oversee procurement from sourcing to PO placement, ensuring alignment with internal planning and vendor capabilities.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements in procurement, planning, and shared services operations, driving scalability and service excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; supply chain or operations degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business, ideally in multi-site or shared service environments.
- Strong data and analytics skills to support planning and procurement decisions.
- Deep understanding of procure-to-pay processes and procurement efficiency.
- Experience sourcing materials for production with cost and quality focus.
- Ability to work effectively across cultures, particularly between U.S. and Ireland.
- Comfortable with change, new technologies, and evolving customer expectations.
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities across multiple sites.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled at prioritizing and collaborating under pressure in a centralized model.
