**Job Description:**
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for providing professional leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care. This includes:
Providing Effective Leadership:
- To lead and manage nursing staff to ensure high-quality care delivery
- To develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Clinical Excellence:
- To oversee the provision of clinical care to residents
- To ensure that all residents receive a high standard of care
Community Partnership:
- To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and transfers of care
- To manage relationships with external bodies such as HIQA, HSE, GPs etc.
**Requirements:**
- A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field
- Not less than 3 years' experience of nursing older persons within the previous 6 years
- Not less than 3 years' experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area
