The role of Project Engineering Lead involves overseeing project-related activities, providing technical guidance and direction to team members. A strong background in manufacturing technology is essential, particularly in areas such as CNC machining, metrology, packaging, biomaterial production, and coatings.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the introduction of new capital equipment, ensuring qualification and validation activities are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate process layouts to optimize floor space utilization and ensure seamless process flow.
- Develop supporting documentation, including SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process work instructions, in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Transfer and implement processes from development or other manufacturing facilities.
- Manage budgeting, scheduling, and project databases, reporting regularly to project managers on progress and potential issues.
- Develop specifications for new equipment purchases, including User Requirement Specifications (URS).
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and engineers on the team.
- Conduct MSA studies for products and new processes.
- A Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
- Proven project engineering skills through the delivery of business-critical projects.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to lead, influence, and provide technical direction to engineers, students, technicians, and operators.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Technological pioneer, willing to source, investigate, and implement technological and automation advances.
- Confident and effective decision maker, with proven leadership ability to negotiate and influence others.
