Job Description

This is a key role within our organization, focusing on health, safety, and environmental aspects. As an advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and support across various areas of the business.

You will need to advise and monitor compliance with legislative regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies and procedures. This includes promoting a positive workplace environment and culture.

  • Act as HSEQ advisor as required by the business
  • Help coach managers to complete risk assessments and identify high-risk areas; plan actions to lower risks where possible
  • Investigate serious accidents and incidents with managers, help them put preventative actions in place, and review risk assessments after incidents
  • Complete customer incident investigations
  • Develop localised initiatives to drive HSEQ standards
  • Support team members as needed
  • Visit locations to complete audits
  • Attend sites when necessary to meet customers on HSEQ issues
  • Make summary reports after audits with action plans back to line managers
  • Issue weekly reports to management on HSEQ issues and initiatives
  • Attend regional meetings to drive HSEQ standards and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A professional demeanor, able to express themselves clearly under pressure
  • Self-motivation and ability to deal with all levels of personnel
  • Good time management skills and organizational abilities
  • Confidence in handling queries and problems via telephone and face-to-face
  • Ability to communicate and participate in a team
  • Good analytical skills to analyze cause and trends
  • A full, clean driving license

  • NEBOSH General Certificate qualification or equivalent
  • Quality auditing skills for process audits
  • Willingness to undertake further training as appropriate
