Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial information, as well as coordinating various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheet controls, and cash flow reports
• Presenting financial information at senior management meetings
• Preparation of financial statements and year-end audit files
• Liaising with auditors and supporting the year-end audit process
• Coordination of annual general meeting preparations
• Management of foreign exchange requirements and grower loan accounts
• Administration of operational programmes in line with regulatory requirements
• Preparation of EU assistance claims and audit documentation
• Support for audits conducted by government departments
• Oversight of operating procedures and ensuring compliance
• Support for accounts payable, receivable, and banking functions
• Building relationships with members, board, auditors, consultants, and suppliers
• Ad hoc reporting and tasks as directed by the CEO or Finance Manager

Requirements for Success

• A relevant third-level qualification in accounting or finance
• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general IT skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Full clean driving licence
• Ability to work on-site in Co. Monaghan
