Job Title:

Senior Occupational Therapist

This role involves delivering and leading evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for children, young people, and adults within Primary Care services.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement interventions that support clients across the lifespan to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments and interventions for children with developmental delays, coordination difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and physical disabilities.
  • Support participation in play, education, and daily living activities.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, teachers, and school staff to develop tailored intervention strategies.
  • Deliver both individual and group-based therapy sessions.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff and students.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy is essential.
  • Registration with CORU (Council of Occupational Therapists of Ireland) is a requirement.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience is necessary.
  • Previous experience in Primary Care, Paediatrics, Adult Rehabilitation, or Community Mental Health is highly desirable.
