Embedded Systems Expert
Are you a skilled embedded systems professional looking to take your career to the next level?
We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our R&D team in Cork, Ireland. This is a senior role that involves leading the development of advanced medical products, with a focus on innovation, quality, and customer impact.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, particularly in C, and experience in low-level programming, hardware-software integration, and technical leadership. Additionally, they will be able to troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems, lead product success through design and field performance improvements, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across engineering, quality, and production teams. A background in biology/anatomy is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and develop firmware compliant with IEC 62304
• Troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems
• Lead product success through design and field performance improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and drive process efficiency

Required Skills:
- Strong C programming and embedded systems experience
- Proven product development and technical leadership
- Test-driven development and documentation expertise
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor others
