
Healthcare Food Service Specialist

Care for patients and provide excellent food service in a dynamic healthcare setting.
As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food service to patients in hospitals and nursing homes throughout the region. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Set up catering units/wards for daily service and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and teas, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met
- Day-to-day cleaning of catering units and kitchens, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Take patient orders and upload them into the system in a timely and efficient manner
- Serve food at ward level and ensure that all meals are presented in a visually appealing way
- Probe food and record temperatures to ensure that they meet safety standards
- Clean pantry and set up for the next day, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency
- Follow all dietary requirements and work collaboratively with other members of the catering team to achieve goals
- Ability to work efficiently and keep calm under pressure, ensuring that patient needs are met at all times
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff members
Requirements:
- At least three years' experience working in a hospital/nursing home catering setting or come from a high-volume catering commercial background
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to working in new healthcare catering environments, prioritizing flexibility and teamwork
- Two working references with a minimum of two years for each provided, highlighting your commitment to excellence
- Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland with no restrictions, ensuring seamless integration into our team
- Must be flexible with working hours, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities
- Candidates should have a positive and committed approach to their work, demonstrating a passion for delivering exceptional results
