Senior Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Senior Laboratory Scientist to play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and quality of our clients' production process. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in science and laboratory testing methods.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled laboratory professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization. As a Senior Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for operating in-house lab equipment to assess compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. You will also monitor and analyze nutritional, microbiological, chemical, and physical properties of products, document test results accurately for traceability and regulatory audits, and ensure all feed products meet strict feed safety and quality standards. Additionally, you will investigate deviations, potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions. You will work closely with the Nutrition, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams to drive excellence and improve our processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate in-house lab equipment to assess compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze nutritional, microbiological, chemical, and physical properties of products.
- Document test results accurately for traceability and regulatory audits.
- Ensure all feed products meet strict feed safety and quality standards.
- Investigate deviations, potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Nutrition, Procurement, Quality, and Production teams to drive excellence and improve our processes.

Requirements:

- NFQ Level 6+ in Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science/Technology, or similar (or relevant experience).
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and lab testing methods.
- Interest in agriculture and nutrition.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Excellent data collection, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel (bonus: Power BI, Tableau, Google Charts).
