Job Summary

MIG Welder Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG welder to join our team. As a MIG welder, you will be responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to produce quality welds
  • Create welds according to blueprints and specifications
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
  • Prepare products for welding by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery as required
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and request repairs when necessary
  • Cross-train in other areas of the manufacturing plant as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in MIG welding fabrication and relevant certifications
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and precision in executing tasks
  • Ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms, legs, and body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
  • Able to lift 40-80 pounds safely
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and/or 2nd-shift as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and communication skills
