About the Job:
The Hotel Services Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, working closely with the team to maintain high service standards and drive operational excellence. This is a highly visible front-of-house role, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Departmental Oversight: Manage key departments, including accommodation, food and beverage, reception, conference and banqueting, and the spa.
- Service Delivery: Ensure each department delivers the highest standard of guest service, maximizing satisfaction and profitability.
- Operational Standards: Oversee quality, cleanliness, and adherence to operational standards across all hotel areas.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of excellence in guest care, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Performance Review: Conduct routine one-to-one meetings with Heads of Departments (HODs) to review performance, guest feedback, and operational matters.
- Representation: Deputize for the Managing Director as required, attending meetings and representing the hotel with professionalism.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor departmental compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and health and safety regulations.
- Guest Feedback and Resolution: Respond promptly to guest feedback and operational challenges, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
- Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure consistency in service delivery, cleanliness, and employee presentation.
- Profit Enhancement: Drive profitability by identifying opportunities for up-selling and cost management.
- Duty Management Participation: Roster and actively participate in Duty Management shifts daily, remaining available to staff and guests.
What We Are Looking For:
- A proven track record of leadership in hospitality operations.
- At least 4 years of experience in a senior management role within a high-volume accommodation and conference/banqueting setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail, personal presentation, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A natural ability to motivate and lead teams with a hands-on approach.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
