Lead Ecologist

Our company is seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Ecologist to lead and direct the management of multiple road infrastructure projects.
About This Role- This position involves leading teams in the delivery of environmental assessments, reports and project coordination.
- We are looking for someone who can design, commission and schedule ecological surveys for sites across Ireland.
- You will co-ordinate and supervise other ecologists' work ensuring safe and efficient delivery of projects on time and within budget.
- Closely working with multi-disciplinary design teams, you will provide expert ecological advice and design solutions.
- Providing expert witness at oral hearings and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- This role includes line managing staff, carrying out performance reviews and monitoring targets.
Requirements:
- Degree in ecology, natural science or a related biological discipline.
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
- Proven experience in ecological consultancy and road infrastructure projects.
- Excellent technical report writing skills and strong organisational, project and time management skills.
