The Radiology Department delivers over 60,000 diagnostic and interventional examinations per year in a state-of-the-art facility supported by an expert team of radiologists, radiographers, nurses, and administrative staff.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Radiographer (MRI) to perform MRI examinations with high clinical skill, patient care, and technical expertise. The successful candidate will play a key role in service development, staff training, and maintaining MR safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of MRI procedures in line with protocols
  • Maintain high standards of MR safety for patients and staff
  • Support the implementation of new technology and clinical procedures
  • Supervise and train junior radiographers and students
  • Participate in clinical audits and support ongoing research activities
  • Ensure professional and courteous service delivery at all times
  • Attend training and CPD courses relevant to MRI

Requirements:

  • BSc in Radiography or equivalent qualification
  • CORU registration (essential)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in MRI scanning
  • Qualified to administer I.V. contrast
  • Experience with PACS and RIS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of MR safety and clinical governance
  • Postgraduate qualification in MRI (desirable)
  • Supervisory management qualification (desirable)
