Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing operational and reporting databases to align with our environment strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain databases according to our environment strategy
  • Engage in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
  • Understand performance metrics, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Apply RDMS, InterSystems IRIS, and updates to production and non-production environments
  • Manage logins for different types of access, including login behavior and working environment configuration
  • Perform database backups and verify restores
  • Participate in Change Control processes for all planned applications and technical activities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • Able to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful execution of critical maintenance
