About Us
Stewarts Care is a voluntary organisation that provides comprehensive community-based services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in the West Dublin area.
We support people across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.
Role Purpose
This position involves providing person-centered, evidence-based speech and language therapy to service users in Stewarts Care.
This includes managing Feeding, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing (FEDS) and supporting communication skills using various approaches.
The post holder will work with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life of Stewarts Care's service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from the University of Dublin or equivalent qualification.
- Professional qualifications received outside Ireland must be validated by CORU prior to employment.
- Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).
- Minimum three years satisfactory post-qualification experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Evidence of achieving results through effective collaboration in a complex environment.
