**Job Description:**

Bausch & Lomb Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electro-mechanical maintenance, with experience in PLC and pneumatics systems. This role involves carrying out production, plant, lab, and facility maintenance activities, as well as participating in process development of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance activities on production equipment
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures in conjunction with the process engineer or process engineering manager
  • Ensure compliance with plant SOPs at all times
  • Participate in project work as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of engineering systems through continuous improvement
  • Maintain lab, plant, and production equipment to required standards
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of PLC and pneumatics systems
  • Maintain accurate training records in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g. National Craft Certificate)
  • Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable
  • Strong electro-mechanical background and knowledge of automated systems
