Accommodation Operations Manager

\

The primary function of this position is to oversee the smooth operation of the accommodation department. This involves managing staff, ensuring high standards are maintained in bedrooms, corridors and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Manage daily operations of the accommodation department efficiently.\
  • Supervise the maintenance of guest bedrooms and public areas to the highest standard expected.\
  • Coordinate training, coaching and professional development for team members.\
  • Develop departmental rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels in line with business needs.\
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and hygiene management protocols for both employees and guests.\
  • Monitor and report on departmental performance regularly.\
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.\
  • Recruit, train and motivate a high-performing team.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to drive continuous improvement.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large hotel environment.\
  • Strong leadership skills and organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.\
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.\
  • Proficient IT, communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and spoken English.\
  • Industry/Hospitality Management qualification an advantage.\
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\
  • Capacity to lead by example and promote a positive work culture.\
