Leading a team in occupational health and safety is a critical role, requiring professionals who can ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead our efforts in maintaining a safe working environment across multiple construction projects. As part of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all site operations comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. This includes:

  • Supporting site management in enforcing workplace safety regulations and company protocols
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date health and safety documentation
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance
  • Assisting in the development and review of job-specific risk assessments and method statements

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to promote behavioural safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess a strong background in occupational health and safety, including:

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar senior H&S role, preferably in civil engineering or construction
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH)
  • Strong experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
