Healthcare Support Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Assistant to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people in your local community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and support services. As a Healthcare Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care, including washing and dressing patients, as well as supporting patients with mobility and safe movement.

You will also report any incidents or notable observations to supervising staff, offer companionship and emotional support to patients, and perform domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and catering assistance.

Additional duties may include carrying out tasks as needed to maintain a high standard of care and service.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • QQI Level 5 Qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification
  • All vaccinations required, including Hepatitis B, MMR, Tuberculosis & Varicella
  • Resident in Ireland and right to work in Ireland without restriction
  • Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting and International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16)
