Chef Position in Kilkenny

We are seeking experienced Relief Healthcare Chefs to work in kitchens in Kilkenny City & County. This role involves working on one-off shifts or being placed on ongoing rotas, maintaining high standards in preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Key responsibilities will include assisting with stock control, rotation, and food costs, receiving and recording deliveries, ensuring efficient service from the kitchen, delegating duties as needed, helping plan and create menus, and adhering to strict hygiene and service standards.

Requirements for this position include holding a Chef Qualification QQIL6, Garda Vetting, a minimum of 3 years' experience in a busy kitchen, fluency in English, excellent culinary skills with a hands-on approach, structured and methodical working practices, and the ability to deal with pressure in a busy operation.

In addition, applicants must have or be willing to undergo training for Manual handling, Food Safety Level 2, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Hand Hygiene, Children's First, and Chemical Certifications.
