Fund Accounting Leader

This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in fund accounting and management to drive business growth and success. As a Fund Accounting Manager at our organization, you will lead a team of professionals and deliver high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of investment fund clients.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and management experience. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities, managing NAV production, and serving as a key point of contact for clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of up to 10 fund accountants
  • Review and approve daily and monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations
  • Evaluate and ensure that all fund accounting tasks are completed within established control environments and service level agreements
  • Resolve escalated inquiries and aged reconciliation items in a timely manner
  • Review fee calculations, profit and loss allocations, and performance returns
  • Manage client relationships and coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders
  • Improve accounting workflows and participate in new product initiatives
  • Oversee the completion of annual fund audits and financial statement preparation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in fund administration or investment fund accounting, preferably with hedge fund experience
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting systems, processes, and NAV production
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • A high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a remote team
