Advanced Nurse Practitioner Specialist

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner Epilepsy is a senior clinical role responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients with epilepsy. The successful candidate will have a broad base of clinical experience relevant to the advanced field of practice and demonstrate the competences relevant to the specialist area of advanced practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing safe, timely, evidenced-based nurse-led care to patients at an advanced nursing level.
- Undertaking and documenting a complete episode of patient care (assess, diagnose, plan, treat and discharge patients) according to collaboratively agreed protocols.
- Clinical leadership and professional scholarship in order to develop nursing practice and health policy at a local, regional and national level.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Eligible applicants must be registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] or eligible to register by meeting the criteria for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner as specified www.nmbi.ie.
- Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, professional and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Benefits:
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Salary will be on the RANP Payscale (€70,701 - €87,250).
