Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with expertise in Edge Machine Learning to spearhead our Grid Monitoring embedded systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software that combines neural net accelerators and other signals to identify faults and perform response actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software for Grid Monitoring embedded systems, which include neural net accelerators.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers to adapt and tune ML models for the target edge computing platform.
  • Integrate ML inferences and other signals within the embedded systems to identify and report faults or take necessary action.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to support firmware design and communicate essential concepts across teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software standards and guidelines improvement.
  • Develop and execute software unit and integration test plans.
  • Analyze test results to ensure correct functionality and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Interact daily with distributed team members to resolve bugs, identify missing requirements, and provide customer support during Beta trials and post-release.
  • Adhere to ADI licensing practices, source control, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and developing embedded software in C/C++ languages.
  • Background in machine learning algorithms (CNN, DNN) and experience deploying them on embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, compilation) and deployment pipelines for embedded AI.
  • Familiarity with neural network accelerators and strategies for efficient neural network execution on such hardware.
  • Strong background in embedded software and computer architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming.
  • Experience with RTOS like Zephyr, ThreadX, FreeRTOS.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
