Job Title: Insurance Manager

This key role plays a pivotal part in shaping and optimising our global insurance offering, enhancing the overall car rental proposition.

As the primary point of contact for insurance partner relationships, you will foster strategic collaboration both internally and externally to ensure innovative, compliant, and commercially valuable insurance products.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to contract negotiations, performance reviews, and claims oversight while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote optimal CarTrawler insurance product offerings and collaborate to identify creative yet compliant solutions to improve performance.
  • Monitor claims cost exposure, implementing strategies to reduce claim occurrences and manage claims costs effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations by working closely with the legal team.
  • Foster effective, professional relationships to monitor insurance product performance and identify gaps for optimisation.
  • Manage our global panel of insurance partners.
  • Promote two-way information sharing with stakeholders, particularly regarding performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitive landscapes, user challenges, and business strategy to be an expert on our insurance products.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience working with consumer insurance products.
  • Experience operating in regulated domains – balancing commercial gain with regulated parameters.
  • Professional insurance, finance, or accounting qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry with underwriting or claims experience desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills – able to think creatively.
  • Commercial savviness – solid understanding and experience setting KPIs for product success.
  • Detail-oriented – great organisational skills with ability to capture requirements and scenarios.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects & drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, positive attitude, integrity, and reliability.
