Job Opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to execute daily loan fund accounting for debt structures containing loan portfolios under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager.

This position forms part of the Loan Servicing Unit (LSU) team and contributes to the Private Credit department's overall objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Record and report on various debt funds, portfolio companies, and associated fund structures while liaising with clients and intermediaries as necessary to meet client deliverables such as NAV reporting.
  • Complete all FA-level aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including the proper processing/review of daily posting of Loans, general accounting of expenses/income, the preparation and reconciliation of statutory financial statements, and ad-hoc investor queries.
  • Maintain accurate records on accounting system eFront FIA for all required aspects of different significant financial statements line items.
  • Review the daily/weekly bank reconciliations ensuring both Loan and GL transactions are up to date and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions.
  • Deal with routine audit queries and requests.
  • Manage client communications on daily operations for the entities assigned.
  • Grow technical knowledge of Private Credit/Debt instruments with the ability to agree loan processing transactions and loan reporting to the GL and TB.
  • Assist Managers in complex transactions i.e., loan advances, repayments, OIDs.
  • Prepare accounting deliverables on period basis i.e., consolidation packs, stand-alone reporting packs.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff members to assist team growth but also aid own development.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of loans, loan components, and loan accounting at FA level.
  • Relevant degree in accounting or finance is desirable (bachelor's or master's degree).
  • Fully or partially qualified with relevant professional qualification preferably having commenced ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to develop close working relationship with colleagues.
  • Strong technical financial services experience supported through Aztec Academy training.
  • Computer literacy essential.
  • Fluent English is required.
